Description
Showy Goldenrod (Solidago speciosa) lives up to its name with dense, club-shaped clusters of golden-yellow flowers that bloom atop tall, sturdy stems from August through November. Reaching up to 5 feet in height, this striking native wildflower adds late-season color and pollinator support to any landscape.
A favorite among bees, butterflies, and migrating pollinators, Showy Goldenrod thrives in dry to moist soils and full to partial sun. It pairs beautifully with other fall-blooming natives like New England Aster and is both drought-tolerant and deer-resistant—making it ideal for home gardens, native borders, and prairie restorations.
Native to the central and eastern U.S., this long-blooming perennial is easy to grow and highly adaptable.
